Vegetation Management and Arboriculture
Planned, reactive and emergency vegetation management in safety-critical environments
has over 25 years of experience in providing vegetation management and arboricultural services across the UK, which enables us to provide an end-to-end service and an unparalleled level of expertise and professionalism.
Delivering high quality works to specification, compliantly and safely is paramount to our work with many of the key utility providers across the UK; keeping electricity running and waterways flowing is fundamental to our clients and core to the services we provide them.
We deliver planned, reactive and emergency vegetation management and arboriculture works around high and low voltage overhead power lines to ensure a safe and continuous supply of power to millions of homes and businesses around the UK.
We are the sole provider of overhead line vegetation management for National Grid who own the electricity transmission network in England and Wales and operate over 14,000 kms of overhead lines. We also provide vegetation management for regional distribution network operators (DNOs) and both vegetation and facilities management services for the Canal & River Trust (formerly British Waterways), keeping 65 sites of special scientific interest (SSSI), 50 scheduled ancient monuments and five UNESCO World Heritage sites safe; towpaths clear; and 2,000 miles of waterway networks free from obstructive vegetation.
Our primary focus is on safety and quality, and our complete vegetation management solution is based on:
- Agreed work programmes for planned maintenance works
- Reactive maintenance for emergency work and flexibility to respond to adhoc requests
- Regular quality and safety audits
- Compliance with legislation and company/customer policies

data collection devices, our specialist team conducts real-time surveys to determine tree condition, access to sensitive sites, traffic management requirements, grounds maintenance regimes and to assess risks and log hazards to help you plan your maintenance programmes efficiently and cost-effectively.
