OCS has recently been recognised with two accolades from the 2009/2010 Building Cleanability Awards scheme for its contracts with Interhealth at Runcorn and Cheshire NHS and St David’s shopping centre in Cardiff.
OCS scooped a winner’s award in the Health category and was a finalist in the Retail category and was recognised for a variety of features which support effective day to day cleaning. The contracts had to pass specific criteria including cleaning equipment, materials used, environmental aspects and health and safety. The BCA then visited and assessed all the finalist sites before deciding the winners.
The Building Cleanability Awards scheme was conceived by The Worshipful Company of Environmental Cleaners in 1994, with a view to highlighting the relationship between building design and cleaning effectiveness.
The competition culminated with a prestigious Presentation Luncheon at Guildhall, London earlier this month. Congratulations to the teams involved.
