OCS Awarded Gold Leaf from eFIG

12th May 2011

OCS has recently been honoured with a prestigious Gold Leaf Award at the European Federation of Landscaping Groups Ltd (eFIG) Awards.

The awards ceremony was held in April at the Apex Rooms, Olympia and top industry recognition was given to the work of OCS’s horticulture team at NAPP Pharmaceuticals in the Cambridge Science Park. OCS took the highest level award, the Gold Leaf, for the £25,000 + Maintenance category.

The OCS horticulture team has managed and maintained a contract with the pharmaceutical company for over 10 years and is currently maintaining over 100 plant displays in the brand new buildings – a contract held since January 2009. Due to the great success of the design scheme, Napp has opted to further increase the number of displays within their new buildings as well as the newly refurbished original building.

Ben Peroni, Facilities Operations Advisor from Napp commented, “OCS has held this contract with us for over ten years now and we are delighted with how aesthetically pleasing their display is. They keep the building looking fresh which pleases both us and our visitors, making it a great place to work.  Well done to Kathy and her team”

In 2009 and 2010 the OCS horticulture team became Principal BALI award winners for the Napp contract, alongside their win with an eFIG Gold Leaf Award in 2009 for the installation.
