In 2006, OCS was delighted to gain recognition as an Investor In People (IIP), demonstrating the company’s commitment to good practice in training and development.
Last month, our IIP reassessment took place. Confidential interviews with 664 employees were conducted across the business by a team of nine OCS internal reviewers over three weeks. As well as enabling us to retain the IIP, the interviews provided us with valuable information. This is the first time the process has been carried out by internal reviewers and there have been many resulting benefits including increased ownership, understanding and commitment to IIP.
This snapshot of our business has helped us to identify areas where we can build on our investment in our employees, identifying areas in which improvements can be made. The Learning and Development team will now use this information to develop a business plan which will be implemented over the coming months.
The plan will be communicated as soon as possible and the Learning and Development team will be relying upon everyone across the business to help with its successful delivery.
