OCS has teamed up with Surrey based food decoration experts Squires Kitchen, for a series of baking and sugarcraft technique workshops to help chefs create and design a unique cake range offering.
A class of 36 top OCS chefs have attended advanced level courses run by the prestigious company, which has specialised in home baking, cake decorating and sugarcraft for over 25 years. The exclusive new range of cakes created by OCS is named ‘Just Bake’ and includes tasty sweets such as button short bread, strawberry cup cakes, blueberry and white chocolate brownies and mini Victoria sandwiches.
To celebrate festive events such as Halloween and Christmas, OCS will offer sugarcrafted themed cakes and biscuits in all outlets across the UK. Mark Nelson, OCS Catering Director, commented: “We have identified a unique offering with the help of Squires Kitchen and their support has really made a difference to our chefs. There is always something new to learn in the kitchen and everyone who attended the courses enjoyed being creative and left feeling inspired by the experience.
The 36 chefs will roll out the training across the UK to give OCS catering staff the opportunity to get involved and learn new creative skills.
