Across our business, we have successfully extended the OHSAS 18001 accreditation of our Health and Safety Management System to cover all of our UK Operations. “This is a tremendous achievement and a great move forward for the company,” announced health and safety director Ian Goodliffe. “I would like to thank all management teams for the way they have embraced the drive for accreditation to OHSAS 18001.
“The Directors are committed to the ongoing improvement of Health and Safety standards for all our employees and they expect all of us to be actively engaged in driving forward this continuous improvement.
“Continuous improvement can be achieved when employees fully understand their roles and responsibilities, there is high employee involvement, commitment and cooperation, safer systems of work are developed and we improve standards in the management and control of risk. Improvements can be measured by reduced accident rates, reduced injuries and better health,” concluded Ian Goodliffe.
Martin Gammon, MD OCS Group UK Ltd, congratulated staff saying, “I would like to add my thanks and appreciation to all those involved in securing this prestigious accreditation. An enormous amount of effort has clearly been put in by everybody and it was especially pleasing to hear from the BSI representative how impressed he was with the enthusiasm he witnessed from our staff around the business. A great effort – well done!”
