International total facilities management provider OCS will extend a wide range of facilities services delivered to Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust at Queen Mary’s Hospital (QMH) in Sidcup through a contract that has been awarded for the next three years. OCS, which has worked at QMH since 2006, providing cleaning, washroom, linen management, pest control, window cleaning, and security services, will provide nine new services to the hospital from 1st April 2015.
Lin Strachan, Head of Facilities for Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, commented: “QMH is a vital resource for people in Bexley and the neighbouring boroughs and treats around 250,000 patients each year. We need service partners who can help us provide service excellence, and OCS has shown a clear understanding of our needs, a strong commitment to supporting the hospital team, and a willingness to be flexible to meet the changing demands of a healthcare environment.”
OCS CEO UK Public Sector, Healthcare and Infrastructure, Bob Taylor said: “The OCS team at QMH have clearly demonstrated the company’s core value of a ‘can do’ approach to service provision. We have also drawn on our extensive experience of working at this hospital, and with a range of other healthcare providers, to deliver value across a range of additional services, including car park management, patient, staff and visitor catering, reception and switchboard, portering, post room, and waste management.”
