For the first time in the i-FM Technology in FM Awards, this year the judges created a ‘highly commended’ award, which was made to OCS in recognition of the company’s Logincident app. Logincident pioneers a new approach to the management of Health and Safety in facilities management. The annual i-FM Technology in FM Awards recognise companies and organisations in the facilities management sector that are utilising new technologies, particularly the internet, to achieve exemplary improvements in business processes and performance.
The ‘highly commended’ trophy was presented to the OCS team on 9th February at the landmark Workplace Futures Conference, hosted at the Crystal London, and the apt theme of this year’s event was FM: Agent of Change. Jane Sheard, CEO OCS UK Facilities Services, who received the award on behalf of OCS, said: “We are delighted that OCS and Logincident have been recognised through these prestigious industry awards. The software encourages staff to look out for others, and cements in a culture where staff take responsibility for health and safety, and are proactive around it. Logincident highlights OCS’s innovative culture and its focus on technology as an enabler for growth.”
Working with Logincident, OCS has introduced a new approach to change the facilities management workplace and reduce the number of accidents and incidents across the organisation and throughout the UK. The health and safety management system includes a combined mobile app and dashboard to simply and quickly record near miss incidents and unsafe conditions.
“This award highlights the importance OCS places on wellbeing and in delivering health and safety best practice. The app has the potential to drive a real cultural change in the facilities management sector. Logincident provides a new, fast and simple way for all staff to report adverse events and to capture important data, helping to keep people safe in the workplace.” said Ian Goodliffe, OCS Director of HSQE.
