Jaguar Land Rover has extended its catering contract with international total facilities management provider OCS by another two years with an option to extend for an additional two years. Under the deal, OCS will continue to provide catering for Jaguar Land Rover’s production plants and research centres in the UK.
As part of the extended contract, OCS is opening two WHSmith shops at two sites – Whitley, Coventry, and Gaydon in Warwickshire – which were officially launched last month. The shops will stock a selected WHSmith range including confectionery, newspapers, magazines, books, cards and stationery.
“We believe this is the first example of an FM provider working with WHSmith in this way and we are excited to be leading this ground-breaking connection which will bring a huge benefit to Jaguar Land Rover staff,” explained Mark Nelson, director of catering at OCS.
As part of the new contract OCS is also refurbishing the majority of the 18 catering outlets in its new concept ‘Just Dine’ together with new-look staff uniforms and a new vending offering for some sites.
OCS also provides cleaning and waste management services at Whitley and Gaydon.
The Jaguar Land Rover estate comprises four sites in the Midlands and north-west England including the company’s 90-acre Jaguar Land Rover facility in Whitley, Coventry; its 900-acre headquarters in Gaydon in rural Warwickshire; Castle Bromwich site near Solihull; Halewood, near Liverpool; and the soon-to-be-built new engine plant in Wolverhampton.
