Fountains wins more than £500,000 of work with National Grid

10th Dec 2012

Fountains, part of total facilities management provider OCS Group UK, has been awarded more than £500,000 of maintenance work with National Grid.

The works include installing anti-climb devices (ACDs) safety signs and information plates (SSIPs) on National Grid electricity pylons across the country from Plymouth to Carlisle. The work will start now and be completed by the end of March 2013.

The work was competitively tendered under the Provision of Tower Painting and Maintenance Services framework agreement.

The news follows a recent award of more than £1 million of work to paint electricity pylons in Wales which brought to 292,093m2 of tower steelwork painted by Fountains for National Grid this year under the framework agreement.

Richard Linnell, Operations Director, Utilities for Fountains, said: “I am delighted that we have extended our work with the National Grid and introduced a new line of services.  It demonstrates the breadth of our facilities management capability in the Utilities sector.”
