International total facilities management provider OCS has successfully achieved two internationally recognised awards presented by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) 2014 Awards for Occupational Health and Safety.
OCS Environmental Services UK Nuclear received a Gold Award and Fountains Utilities, part of the group’s Infrastructure and Healthcare Division, which was ranked second in its category, was awarded the prestigious Commended in the Commercial and Business Services.
The RoSPA Safety Awards are internationally recognised and offer organisations a prime opportunity to prove their ongoing commitment to raising Health and Safety standards as part of the longest running and most highly respected occupational safety awards programme.
David Rawlins RoSPA’s awards manager said: “The RoSPA Awards encourage the raising of occupational Health and Safety standards across the board. Organisations that gain recognition contribute to a collective raising of the bar for other organisations to aspire to, and we offer them our congratulations.”
Dating back nearly 50 years, the scheme considers overarching Occupational Health and Safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement. The winners’ achievements were celebrated at an awards event in May 2014.
