Vegetation management, grounds maintenance and landscaping

OCS delivers horticultural excellence across a variety of organisations, maintaining and improving the high standards expected of us by our clients. We work with our clients to ensure that whether its vegetation management, grounds maintenance, landscape design or an interior landscaping project, we meet and exceed unique specifications.

All of our horticulture specialists are conscientious and skilled in working to detailed specifications within a wide range of environments. We offer nationwide horticulture services and work in partnership with blue chip companies, local and central government, charitable trusts, health organisations, schools and shopping centres, without disrupting the site’s staff and visitors.

We demonstrate best horticultural practice and ensure we adapt our working methods to suit each individual site’s requirements. Our experience, knowledge and skills allow us to sustainably protect and maintain ecologically sensitive sites including the development and safeguarding of SSSI sites to support and encourage the ecological processes and functions of each individual habitat.

OCS undertake regular consultations with your management and conservation teams to ensure that the historic, aesthetic and horticultural integrity of the site is preserved, maintained and improved, providing a bespoke horticultural programme to suit each individual client’s requirements.

We are committed to the development of all our employees, and provide on-site, specific training to all our staff, ensuring working methods that complement your individual site requirements. This commitment is demonstrated by the motivation and passion of our staff, who have a thorough understanding of their responsibilities and receive industry leading training to work to recognised horticultural and environmental standards as set out in our environmental policy. Our training includes providing apprenticeships and courses for national qualifications. The comprehensive capability of our horticulturists across the four seasons includes delivering grassland and meadowland management, seasonal bedding displays, tree surveys and works, using our in-house geospatial capability to map and measure horticultural and conservation features, road gritting and snow clearance, preservation and protection of wildlife habitats and can even provide stewarding and security for special events.

We are members of key associations including the European Federation of Interior Landscaping Group, the Horticultural Association, Lantra, the British Association of Landscape Industries and the Institute of Groundsmanship, and we also hold Forest Certification to UK Woodland Assurance Standard (UKWAS).
