As a private business in the fifth generation of family ownership, we believe that our wider responsibilities to society and our business future are interwoven.
Our maxim ‘Here Today, Here Tomorrow’ reflects our determination to deliver facilities management solutions which are sustainable in financial, human, community and environmental terms.
To assist our clients in achieving their strategic goals, we design service packages that address profitability, well-being, health and safety and environmental impact reduction. Our sustainability specialists bring innovation and best practice as they work on a target of cutting waste and energy costs for our clients, and bolstering the already outstanding work we do for local communities.
For us, sustainability means that business decisions are guided not only by financial implications but by the impact on the environment, people and the communities in which we work.
Sustainable development is an ongoing process and is a journey that starts with compliance and travels through stages towards a point of deep sustainability. Our sustainability policy sets out our objectives in respect of sustainable business and the environment, people and communities. The OCS Group UK sustainability policy can be found here.
Our principle environmental objective is to reduce the volume of carbon caused by our activities, per million pounds of revenue. Carbon data is recorded and is independently verified annually by CEMARS (Certified Emissions Management and Reduction Scheme). Our emissions management reduction programme is aimed at reducing carbon by 10% over the next 5 years.
E-learning modules, awareness talks and visual shows are used to communicate environmental responsibilities and company progress to employees.
